Plantings of Silver Palms, Robellini’s, and Ligustrum provide a sense of enclosure at ground level, while 35’ tall Royal Palms visually connect third floor occupants with the landscape. The pool, with its deep blue and grey finish, is only touched by paving in a few locations so that it feels like the landscape and pool are integral. Looking through a canopy of Ligustrum to the pool swimout is designed to emulate the feel of being in a mangrove forest. Walks through the garden are designed to provide engagement with both the landscape and the pool. Large, rounded boulders were strategically placed along the walks to add interest and provide opportunities for seating while overlooking Tampa Bay and the evening sunset.
