Landscape Architect

 

Job Description:

Conner Landscape Architects is an established, award winning landscape architectural studio located in downtown Tampa, Florida. Our practice is focused on the design of intensive landscape architectural projects for large corporations, academic institutions, local government and private residences. Projects are concentrated in Florida but extend throughout the eastern US and Puerto Rico. We are engaged in the design of many site restoration projects and frequently charged with the development of unique, site specific, low-impact design strategies. Examples of current work includes a corporate headquarters building with extensive greenroof installation, a new university campus in an urban center, and a memorial to academic leaders for a major university. Our projects can be characterized by their ability to perform well over a long period of time with limited resources for maintenance. Recently, we have established a new laboratory for landscape architectural research to gather data and gain increased knowledge of how landscape design decisions endure a long period of time with limited human interaction.

We are seeking both experienced landscape architects and new graduate professionals to join with us in our work. We practice landscape architectural in a team structure so that each person in the firm is engaged in every project for which we are commissioned. Professional development and active learning are integral to the development of our practice. We are especially interested in persons who seek to pursue positions of corporate leadership.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Landscape Architecture preferred
• Master of Landscape Architecture with specific landscape architectural experience
• 5 years of experience
• Command of AutoCAD (LandFX preferred), Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Designer

 

Job Description:

Conner Landscape Architects is a collaborative team of diverse professionals located in downtown Tampa, Florida. We are seeking a creative designer with exceptional sketching, 3D modeling, and illustration graphics skills to join our team. Designers within the firm are characterized by their passion for creating interesting and engaging spaces that balance our human needs with nature.  They are inventive in their ideas and grounded in an understanding of the environment, materiality and human behavior. Each person in the firm contributes on all projects and plays a vital role in the development and implementation of design solutions.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Landscape Architecture
• 1-4 years of experience
• Command of AutoCAD (LandFX preferred), Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Administrative Assistant

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time administrative assistant to join our team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated, mature, and resourceful. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously are part of the daily job. The administrative assistant will provide administrative support in the areas of business development, public relations, and project delivery as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

• Support and assist with the preparation of business development materials including proposals, brochures, letters, and project research.
• Support the Public Relations needs of the firm by producing public announcements, updating social media sites, updating website messages, contacting and communicating design work with appropriate magazine publications or media outlets.
• Assist with the preparation and production of project deliverables.
• Provide general administrative support to all office staff including running errands, collecting materials, answering phone, filing, etc.

 

Skills:

• Highly organized and professional
• Exceptional skills with writing, spelling, and grammar
• Detail oriented
• High level of capability with the following computer programs:
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel required
  • Adobe Creative Suite – In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred

 

Marketing Representative

 

We are seeking a Marketing Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated, outgoing, mature, tech savvy, creative, and resourceful. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously are part of the daily job. The Marketing Representative will provide support in the areas of business development, public relations, social media, and marketing materials. The role of this position is to build brand awareness of the firm within the real estate development, architectural, and municipal government communities.

 

Responsibilities:

• Actively pursues new business relationships.
• Supports ongoing maintenance and interaction with existing clients.
• Develops marketing plans and materials.
• Continually gathers and monitors information on development activity, market trends, and governmental agency plans and budgets.
• Understands and communicates company brand for specialty design and services.
• Attends and participates in conferences and events.
• Oversees social media marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with preference in Design Related Field (Arts, Landscape Architecture, Marketing, Art History, Creative Writing, Graphic Design, etc.)
• 0-5 years of experience
• Command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Products
